Marching band at Hoover includes two groups:

Football Band

ALL band students, including Buccanettes and Color Guard, are members of the football band. The football band performs in the stands and in the halftime show at most football home games playoff (post-season) games.

Competition Band

An auditioned subset of marching band, including color guard, serves as the competition band. Competition band (or “comp band”) performs the competition show at most away football games, and at various band competitions on designated Saturdays, throughout October.
